Built to Be Chosen

How European B2B SaaS gets understood, trusted, and chosen in the US, by the humans and the machines deciding your category.
‍

Most European founders read a slow US launch as an awareness problem and pour budget into demand gen. It rarely moves the needle — because the gap isn't reach. US buyers, the analysts they trust, and the AI engines they now ask all read your company as foreign. You're not being rejected. You're being skipped.

In this newsletter, you will get:

The Reframe: Why your category's buyers, and the machines they ask, read you as foreign, and what credibility looks like to each.

The Signals: What shifted in how analysts and AI answer engines evaluate companies like yours.

The Diagnosis: How to tell a positioning problem from a demand problem. Most founders get this backwards.

Why is it called Repackaged?
Plus Icon

Because that's usually the job. The product is rarely the problem — European B2B SaaS that wins at home is generally good software, built by people who know their market. What doesn't travel is the packaging: the category name, the claims, the proof, and the order you put them in. "Repositioning" sounds grander. "Repackaging" is more honest about the work, which is mostly taking something that's already good and making it legible to a room that hasn't met you.

What does an engagement cost?

Three ways in, two of them priced publicly. The Evaluator Visibility Report is $3,500 and shows how US buyers, analysts and AI answer engines read you today — whether you're on the shortlist or invisible, with dated, screenshot-ready proof. The Perception Gap Diagnostic is $9,900 and resolves stalled US traction into one measurable gap across all three evaluators: the buying committee, the analysts, and the machines. Full engagements — product marketing and analyst relations combined — are scoped per company. The fee for either diagnostic is credited toward whatever you do next. Research firm subscriptions and inquiry fees are separate and paid directly to the firm.

When is Repackaged not the right fit?
Plus Icon

Three cases. If your problem is genuinely pipeline volume rather than pipeline quality, you need demand generation — that's neither product marketing nor analyst relations, and Repackaged doesn't do it. If you want a team to execute a strategy you've already set, an agency will serve you better and cost less. And if you don't yet have paying customers, product marketing has nothing to draw on: positioning is built from what real buyers already choose you for, not invented in a workshop. One thing that isn't a disqualifier: not having an analyst-ready story yet. Building that story is product marketing work, and it's the half of analyst relations most programs skip. It just has to come before the briefings rather than during them.

How is Repackaged different from an agency?
Plus Icon

An agency staffs a team and manages a process. Repackaged does the work and delivers it finished — positioning, messaging, field assets, analyst narrative and analyst briefings, produced by the senior person you hired rather than supervised by them. The trade is deliberate: less capacity, no delegation. Repackaged doesn't fill your pipeline. It makes the pipeline you have more qualified, which is a different job from demand generation and shouldn't be bought as though it were the same one.

Who is Repackaged for?
Plus Icon

European B2B SaaS companies that have proven their product at home and are now selling into the US — either entering for the first time, or already operating there and still reading as a European vendor. The typical engagement starts with a Founder or a CMO who has a demand problem that more leads won't fix. It's a positioning and credibility problem, and the two are usually the same problem.

What does Repackaged do?
Plus Icon

Repackaged is a product marketing and analyst relations consultancy for European B2B SaaS companies entering or scaling in the US market. The work is positioning and messaging built for US buyers, the sales assets that carry it into deals, and the analyst program that earns third-party credibility with the firms shaping your category. Founder-led by Mathieu Hannouz — European, over fifteen years in B2B SaaS product marketing, including an exit from a European SaaS company, and based on the East Coast. Mathieu made the crossing he advises on.
