Gartner Peer Insights is a platform of verified end-user reviews of technology products, separate from Gartner's analyst-authored research.
Reviews are submitted by end users and verified before publication. The platform carries recognitions derived from review data, including a "Customers' Choice" distinction.
Peer Insights vs. analyst evaluation
Peer Insights reflects reviewer sentiment. Analyst research reflects analyst judgment. The two are produced by entirely different processes and can point in different directions for the same product.
Why it matters
A Customers' Choice distinction is derived from reviews, not from analysts — a difference many vendors blur in their own marketing by presenting it beside evaluation placements as though the two were the same class of recognition.
Both are legitimate. Conflating them is the error, and it is one buyers can check in a single click.
