AR calendar

An AR calendar is the vendor's forward schedule of analyst activity, aligning briefings, evaluation deadlines, events and announcements against the firms' own publication cycles.

It typically tracks evaluation kickoff and submission dates, planned briefings by analyst, embargo windows and event participation.

AR calendar vs. research agenda

The research agenda belongs to the firm and states what they intend to publish. The AR calendar belongs to the vendor and states what they intend to do about it.

Why it matters

Evaluation timelines are long and largely fixed. Kickoff, questionnaire deadline, reference nomination and fact-check windows are set by the firm and do not move for a vendor's convenience.

Which means most missed evaluations are missed at the calendar stage, months before anyone is thinking about a submission. By the time a company notices it isn't in a report, the decision that excluded it was made two quarters earlier by nobody in particular.
